Number of Diagonals in a Polygon
A diagonal is a segment that connects two non-consecutive vertices in a polygon. This video explains how the number of diagonals in a polygon that can be drawn from any vertex in a polygon is three less than the number of sides. To find the total number of diagonals in a polygon, multiply the number of diagonals per vertex (n - 3) by the number of vertices, n, and divide by 2 (otherwise each diagonal is counted twice). As members of one of Notre Dame's 70 community-based learning courses, MacLaughlin's first-year composition students are paired with participants in the University's Robinson Community Learning Center Shakespeare Program, who range from 8 to18 years old.

The result of a partnership between government, academia and industry, West House was showcased during the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Games at the Vancouver Yaletown LiveCity Site and is now in its legacy installation on a City of Vancouver owned site where it will serve as a technology showcase, research and development test bed, and "living lab".

Parallel Lines Theorem
This video explains if two lines are intersected by a transversal, then alternate interior angles, alternate exterior angles, and corresponding angles are congruent. The converse of the theorem is true as well. If two corresponding angles are congruent, then the two lines cut by the transversal must be parallel. Similarly, if two alternate interior or alternate exterior angles are congruent, the lines are parallel. (1:16)
