Number of Diagonals in a Polygon
A diagonal is a segment that connects two non-consecutive vertices in a polygon. This video explains how the number of diagonals in a polygon that can be drawn from any vertex in a polygon is three less than the number of sides. To find the total number of diagonals in a polygon, multiply the number of diagonals per vertex (n - 3) by the number of vertices, n, and divide by 2 (otherwise each diagonal is counted twice). The Transformative Power of Shakespeare
University of Notre Dame Composition Professor Nicole MacLaughlin recognized how the transformative power of teaching and performing the words of William Shakespeare could impact her first-year writing students. As members of one of Notre Dame's 70 community-based learning courses, MacLaughlin's first-year composition students are paired with participants in the University's Robinson Community Learning Center Shakespeare Program, who range from 8 to18 years old.

Providing feedback in web-based learning
In distance learning supported by LMS, it is extremely important to provide automated or partially automated feedback about learning outcomes to students as well as feedback about the efficiency and quality of teaching and learning to teachers and to management of the institution that provides web-based learning courses. In this article, we present the solutions implemented in the LMS eCampus that are theoretically grounded and have been proved in praxis.
Les Diaboliques (1955 trailer) - in cinemas 18 March
Henri-Georges Clouzot's razor-sharp thriller remains a dark classic of misanthropic invention. Taut as a mantrap, the meticulous script provides plenty of tension, surprises and shocks, but what really distinguishes the film is Clouzot's beady eye for details both atmospheric and telling: a swimming pool clogged with debris, rancid school meals, the dismal efforts of the staff to curry favour.
This newly restored digital print will be released nation-wide on 18 March 2011.

Parallel Lines Theorem
This video explains if two lines are intersected by a transversal, then alternate interior angles, alternate exterior angles, and corresponding angles are congruent. The converse of the theorem is true as well. If two corresponding angles are congruent, then the two lines cut by the transversal must be parallel. Similarly, if two alternate interior or alternate exterior angles are congruent, the lines are parallel. (1:16)
Polynomial Vocabulary - Definition of a Polynomial
Before adding and subtracting polynomials or multiplying polynomials, it is important to know the definition of a polynomial and polynomial vocabulary. This video describes important polynomial definitions and terms including monomial, the degree of a monomial, polynomial degree and standard form. (7:15)
Sharing the Text (Literature Groups)
BJ Namba’s third-grade class works in book groups to connect with characters and perspectives offered by texts that portray unfamiliar situations. Ms. Namba interacts with the groups, demonstrating when to step in to the conversation and when to stand back and observe the group’s work. Texts include The Pinballs by Betsy Byars, Just Juice by Karen Hesse, Author(s):

Graphing Lines Using a Table of Values
This video clip explains how to use a table of values to plot points and connect them. There are several other methods of graphing lines, including using a point and the slope. Sometimes graphing lines using an equation involves the same methods as using a table of values. Since we graph lines in the coordinate plane, it is necessary to understand how to connect graphs, tables and equations. (2:27)
