The Sarabande is a stately dance. I suppose that when one gets old, then one considers one's age an accomplishment, our continued existence becomes more and more precarious. Harbingers are messengers bringing bad news, in this case grey hairs. He mentions other infirmities: wizening, tooth decay, loss of acquaintances. These things we have to look forward to.
