It will be concentrating on issues of power and domination, for example it will consider the legacy that imperial rule has left on social structures.

Considerations include mechanical loading, brittle fracture, in-elastic behavior, elevated temperatures, neutron irradiation, and seismic effects.

This class first offers some basic analytical frameworks - culture, social structure, and institutions - that you can use to examine a wide range of political outcomes. We then use these frameworks to understand (1) the relationship between democracy and economic development and (2) the relative centralization of political authority across countries. We will use theoretical arguments and a wide range of case studies to address several questions: Why are some countries democratic and others not?

Introduction to Glycolysis
Living cells can process certain sugar molecules, rearranging their atoms and this process can supply energy to the cell to power growth and other functions. This process is called glycolysis. Glycolysis evolved billions of years ago when there was no oxygen in the earth's atmosphere and it was therefore impossible for cells to gain energy from the oxidation of sugar molecules using oxygen.
