UT student shaves head for cancer research
Nancy Ngo, a student at The University of Toledo studying social work, raised money for cancer research by accepting donations in exchange for the promise of shaving her hair. Ngo raised a total of $3,000 for the St. Baldrick's Foundation, which is a volunteer-driven charity committed to research for a cure for childhood cancers. Ngo had her head shaved Oct. 12 in the McComas Village on the UT Main Campus.

The Goat Rodeo Sessions is an ambitious and groundbreaking project that brings together four string virtuosos: world-renowned cellist Yo-Yo Ma, fiddler Stuart Duncan, bassist Edgar Meyer and mandolinist Chris Thile. These artists -- each prominent figures in the music space independently -- have come together as a unique ensemble for this project. The music, including two tracks with female vocalist Aoife O'Donovan, crosses several different genres.
