Even in the decade before the term "women's lib" was a common phrase, the number of married women entering the workforce increased dramatically -- thanks largely to washers, dryers and freezers, according to research from the University of Notre Dame. Dedication of Ronald E. McNair Building
On Dec. 5, 1986, MIT dedicated Building 37, home to the Center for Space Research and part of the aeronautics and astronautics department, to Ronald E. McNair PhD ’76.
