BIBLindex is an online resource supported by the French Institute of Christian Sources. Ultimately, it aims to permit users to identify biblical quotations in all Jewish and Christian literature of Late Antiquity and the Middle Ages (from the beginning of the Common Era until 1400). It is already possible to search a database of around 400,000 biblical references in works from a wide range of authors, including Clement of Alexandria, Origen, Gregory Nazianzen, Gregory of Nyssa, and many others.
Introduction To Singapore Math
This is a brief introduction (slide show) to Singapore Math.
Essential Science for Teachers: Physical Science Session 3. Physical Changes and Conservation of Mat
What happens when sugar is dissolved in a glass of water or when a pot of water on the stove boils away? Do things ever really "disappear"? In everyday life, observations that things "disappear" or "appear" seem to contradict one of the fundamental laws of nature: matter can be neither created nor destroyed. In this session, participants learn how the principles of the particle model are consistent with conservation of matter.,The segment shows the interviewer trying to find out the student's id
Idaho Civil Rights Program: American Indian Emphasis Program (AIEP)
This site provides an introduction to the American Indian Emphasis Program, which provides sound program practices in administering the Idaho Civil Rights Program. The site features contact information and an overview of the AIEP's goals.
Remote engineering implies a new strategy of assessment?
When we spoken about remote engineering as a new methodology used in the cyberspace with the final goal of the teaching/learning improvement and cost sharing, we are obliged to approach all of the process sides. Assessment is one of these sides and there is considered the most powerful tool for illustration, in the qualitative and quantitative ways, the learners responds at educational objectives offered by the remote engineering learning environment. In the present paper the authors have the in
Biology of Plants
Introduction to the biology of plants.
Biology of Flagellates and Amoebas
Introduction to the biology of flagellates and amoebas.
Space Time Travel
Black holes and travel at nearly the speed of light: Visualization of the theory of relativity. This site offers online papers, images, movies and paper models. The website presents computer simulations that provide "virtual experiences."The images and movies are correctly computed within the framework of the theory of relativity. They are carefully explained in an intuitive, non-mathematical way.
DynaFit - (Bio)Chemical Kinetics and Equilibria
The freely available software package uses a nonlinear least-squares regression analysis to fit chemical kinetic, enzyme kinetic, or ligand-receptor binding data to a user-defined molecular mechanism represented symbolically by a set of chemical equations. Dynafit is available for Microsoft Windows XP or 2000.
Elementary Linear Algebra & Solutions to Elementary Linear Algebra
This book is an introduction to linear algebra, based on lectures given by me over 17 years, in the (now defunct) first year course MP103 at the University of Queensland.
Cosmic Survey: What are Your Ideas About the Universe?
Lesson plans and activity composed of a three-part questionnaire that launches students on discussions about where objects in space are located, and when they were formed- an introduction to the concepts of structure and evolution of the universe. This astronomical image-sorting activity lays the groundwork for discussions about the size, scale and history of the universe. Use it as a front-end assessment of how students understand the universe. Recommended for teachers of Grades 6-12 and inform
NASA KSNN What's a graph?
Graphs help display numbers. There are many different kinds of graphs, but all have number scales and labels to identify the data.
This course provides an introduction to stochastic processes in communications, signal processing, digital and computer systems, and control. Topics include continuous and discrete random processes, correlation and power spectral density, optimal filtering, Markov chains, and queuing theory.
Uncertainty in Engineering Analysis
This course on uncertainty in engineering analysis can also be referred to as probability and statistics for engineers. In particular, we will deal with the applications of probability and statistics to problems related to civil and environmental engineering.
Computer Applications for Instruction and Training
Introduction to basic computer applications on a Macintosh computer, with special emphasis on software that may be used in instruction and training. In this course, students will orient themselves to the Macintosh environment, get a brief overview of Macintosh-specific software, and learn the fundamental basics of the following tools available to assist in instruction and training: PowerPoint, Photoshop, GoLive, and iMovie.
Introduction to Economics
