Aug. 29 - A marine reserve at the southern tip of Mexico's Baja Peninsula has been declared the world's most robust marine reserve by scientists at California's Scripps Institution of Oceanography. A decade-long analysis of Cabo Pulmo National Park reveals that fish numbers increased by more than 460 percent between 1999 and 2009, thanks to a ban on fishing. Rob Muir reports.
Khonya Epshteyn, born in 1928 in Shepelevichi, Belarus, testifies about the murder operations against the Jews that were carried out in Krugloye. Epshteyn recounts the saving of his family by a local neighbor.

This collection consists of records resulting from the Smoke Investigation Activities of the Mellon Institute of Research (Pittsburgh, Pa.) from 1911-1957. Records include investigative studies into smoke and air pollution, urban atmospheric contamination, and means of controlling the contamination, as well as health studies and records of the Smoke and Dust Abatement League, a civic organization which was engaged in framing and securing effective regulatory controls.
