How to Divide Inequalities
How to Divide Inequalities. Part of the series: Math Fractions and Equations. When dividing inequalities, treat the equation like any other standard equation. Flip the inequality sign when dividing an inequality by a negative number with help from a math author and teacher.
Solving and Graphing Inequalities
Inequalities are useful for finding a range of solutions. Solving and graphing inequalities is a key to finding and showing that range. This video clip explains how to solve inequalities using a lot of the same methods as those in solving multi-step equations when dealing with additive inverses, although some things are different when solving inequalities using multiplication. We graph inequalities using number lines. (1:32)
Graphing Inequalities in Two Variables
This is a video tutorial of how to graph and shade inequalities involving two variables. Instead of using a number line, the inequality is graphed on an x,y graph. The instructor relates what is know about graphing equalities and applies this knowledge to graphing inequalities. He works quickly through examples and doesn't show all of the steps needed in drawing the lines on the graph.
Graphing Systems of Linear Inequalities
In this video, the instructor goes through the steps needed to graph a system of linear inequalities. He discusses slope, shows how to draw the line on the coordinate plane, and explains what section of the graph should be shaded. There is some shadow on the white board which makes it a little more difficult to see at times during the instruction.
Solving and Graphing Linear Inequalities in Two Variables, Part I - Khan Academy
In this video, Sal Khan demonstrates how to solve and graph a linear inequality (y > 5). He starts with a number line. Salman Khan is the recipient of the 2009 Microsoft Tech Award in Education. (02:14) There is a lot of information on the screen--the viewer may want to open the video to 'full screen.' (02:15)
Graphing Linear Inequalities in Two Variables, Part II - Khan Academy
In this video, Sal Khan demonstrates how to solve and graph a linear inequality (y < 3X + 5). Mr. Khan uses the Paint Program (with different colors) to illustrate his points. Sal Khan is the recipient of the 2009 Microsoft Tech Award in Education. (02:41) There is a lot of information on the screen--the viewer may want to open the video to 'full screen.'
Graphing Linear Inequalities in Two Variables, Part III - Khan Academy
In this video, Sal Khan demonstrates how to graph a linear inequality. Sal Khan is the recipient of the 2009 Microsoft Tech Award in Education. (03:20) There is a lot of information on the screen--the viewer may want to open the video to 'full screen.' (03:20)
Graphing Systems of Inequalities, Part 1
The instructor in this video, Sal Khan, introduces the process of graphing inequalities.  Mr. Khan uses the Paint Program (with different colors) to illustrate his points. Sal Khan is the recipient of the 2009 Microsoft Tech Award in Education. The student or educator may want to open the video to 'full screen' as the instructor is using a black background and the writing is small.
Solving and Graphing Multi-Step Inequalities
Sometimes we get more complex inequalities that take more than one step to solve. This video clip explains how to solve multi-step inequalities by using addition and multiplication. Many of the techniques are similar to those learned when solving multi-step equations. (1:11)
Physics: Hands-On/ Minds-On Learning
Examines overcoming obstacles to conceptual thinking. Is hands-on the same as minds-on? Why are concepts taught again and again, such as electricity and circuits, but still difficult to explain and put to work?Â
Geometry Tips : The History of Pascal's Triangle
The history of Pascal's triangle begins with the Indians and the Persians who first started working on this pattern of numbers, and it developed through China in the 13th century hundreds of years before Pascal was even born.
Circle Graphs, Part II
The instructor in this video explains what circle or pie graphs are. The instructor uses a whiteboard in front of a stationary camera and works with a pie chart that he has aleady created.
War Birds of World War II
A video montage of the War Birds of World War II. Dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the Air Force, the War Birds of the world, and the brave pilots of World War II. (04:12)
WWII Plane Dogfight - History Channel
A video shows what planes dogfight during WWII was like. There is dogfight representation and you can hear the machine guns. There are images from inside a plane and a WWII pilot narrating his experience. There is information about the speed of the planes and technological descriptions.
WWII Veteran Interview
WWII Veteran Interview. This video helps to give a picture of what it was like to be a soldier in the European theater during WW II.
Montage of World War II historical footage
A visual summary of World War II in video and images, featuring news reel footage and historical photos and video of Hitler, fighters, concentration camps on the Atlantic front, soldier, atomic bomb in Pacific front. Show the new WW II monument in Washington. Current, but relevant music is played in the background. NOTE: some disturbing war pictures.
Aztecs: Inside the hidden empire 4/5
Aztec Poetry is described. There is an account of the issues poetry described. The God of poetry is described. Time of desease and starvation are refered to. The need of sacrifice was high in order to offer to the Gods a sacrifice that would sufice the Gods and bring better times. The importance of the temple to the God of rain is stated and there are images of a historian who explores the aquaducts.
The Spaniard conquest is introduced. The Group led by Cortes arrived and the Aztecs were totally
Michelle Obama and Elmo Discuss Exercise
Mrs. Obama and Elmo talk about exercise on Sesame Street.
