Interdisciplinary Science Science of the Invisible Student Document
In Science of the Invisible you will explore the structure of microscopic objects from
cells to molecules to atoms. At the smallest scale the world is governed by quantum mechanics
which controls the properties of atoms and their binding to form molecules. You will also learn about
the states of matter, gases liquids and solids, and how their properties arise from the properties of
their constituents.
Definitions of Copyright: What Do They Know?
In this lesson, students will begin to explore the often-perplexing world of copyrights by defining the essential elements of U.S. copyright law. Beginning with the Copy Quiz game and a free-form class discussion, students will tease out collective and individual ideas about the rights of creators and users. Then students will be asked to reflect on their experiences making and using creative works online and write down the questions that they want answered by the end of the unit.
Japan in war and peace
This is a module framework. It can be viewed online or downloaded as a zip file. As taught in Autumn Semester 2009/2010 This module consists of a detailed examination of the critical period in Japanese history from the end of the Pacific War through the U.S. Occupation between 1945 and 1952 and recovery in the 1960s and beyond. This course explores effects of globalization of finance on international relations and domestic politics. He reflects that his artwork was a huge part of his life. He says authors need to be clear, readers need to know what is going on, it needs to be truthful. He also talks about how the writing comes first and then the illustrations. He uses real pictures to draw the kids in his stories, some are based on kids his son went to school
