Michael completed his Bsc (Hons) in Zoology from the University of Lincoln in 2020, and then obtained his PhD at the University of Nottingham under the supervision of Prof. Panos Soultanas in 2024.
Recombinant protein production in E. coli, human tissue culture, DNA damage repair, protein-protein interaction studies, targeted drug delivery
I am interested in a wide range of topics including understanding and exploiting DNA damage repair mechanisms for the development of novel treatments of various cancer types.
Targeted drug delivery and gene therapy, currently working on a project developing apoferritin as a multi-faceted delivery platform for drugs and other useful therapeutics.
