Biography

I'm Research Development Manager (Charities), in the Research Strategy and Development Team in Research and Innovation. I support our engagement with major research charities including the Wellcome Trust and the Leverhulme Trust, as well as some major and strategic research grant applications.

Before taking up this role in 2019, I was Research Developoment Manager in the Faculty of Social Sciences at University of Nottingham, supporting the Business School and the School of Economics, and prior to that, Research Development Manager in the Business School since 2009.

Before the University of Nottingham, I worked at Keele University - first at the Centre for Professional Ethics (2001-5), and then the Institute for Public Policy and Management (2005-2009). Before then, I was a research student at Keele, completing an MPhil by research on the political philosophy of John Rawls.

I am on occasional columnist for Research Professional and write a blog called 'Cash for Questions' on research development, policy and support issues (in a personal capacity) and tweet at @Cash4Questions
