Biography

Dr. Mustafa Al-Shagga obtained his degree in Medicine (MD) from Aden University, Yemen. He worked as Medical Officer in a teaching hospital and a trainee lecturer of Pharmacology. He completed a Master in Medical Sciences (Pharmacology) from National University of Malaysia. He worked as a lecturer then senior lecturer in Cyberjaya University College of Medical Sciences (CUCMS). He joined Newcastle University Medicine Malaysia as a senior lecturer then appointed as Assistant Professor in University of Nottingham Malaysia Campus. Currently he is Associate Professor in the Division of Biomedical Sciences, School of Pharmacy. He recognised as Fellow of a Higher Education Academy (FHEA) (UK) in 2016, and currently he entitled a Senior Fellow (SFHEA).

Expertise Summary

Teaching & Learning is something of a great deal to me. I have used many ways of teaching pharmacology, video, play-role, debates, team-based, case-based, practical, added to the traditional teaching. Designing and measuring students learning. Designing modules and courses.

1. Educational experimental research in areas of medical education particular interest in students' engagment and improving teaching material using eye-tracking technique

2. Pharmacology of Khat (Catha edulis) & Obesity.
