Biography

As a Teaching Associate, my main responsibilities are demonstrating for workshops and personal tutoring. Before coming to Nottingham, I studied a DPhil in Experimental Psychology at University of Oxford, supervised by Professor Kate Nation. I also have a BSc (Hons) in Psychology from York St John University, and a MSc in Cognitive Neuroscience from Durham.

My research focuses on reading development and language processing. Particularly, I'm interested in the role of semantic context in visual word processing. A central aim of my research has been to understand why some words are easier to process than others, and how the linguistic context in which words appear shapes our understanding of them.
