Current Research

I explore how rhythmic fluctuations in brain activity, known as "neural oscillations", help us accomplish complex cognitive tasks such as recalling distant memories and navigating though real-world environments. To do so, I use a range of techniques, including electroencephalography (EEG), magnetoencephalography (MEG), functional magnetic resonance imaging (fMRI), and rhythmic sensory stimulation. I aim to deliver research that not only advances our understanding of the fundamentals of the human brain, but also offers exciting new avenues for intervention to augment cognition for everybody in society.
