University strategy White Paper consultation launch

Andy blog 1

I am pleased to launch the White Paper consultation as the next stage in the development of our new University strategy. The input from the University community to this consultation will help us to refine and finalise the new University strategy by December 2019 and we ask for your support in encouraging colleagues to engage with this opportunity.

You can now review the proposed content for inclusion in the University strategy. Please note that this is not a draft of the strategy itself and we are inviting responses to the substance of the proposed content rather than the precise language. To illustrate what the proposal could mean in practice, we have included some examples of projects and initiatives that have been suggested and which would be in line with the goals proposed.

After reviewing the proposed content document, students, staff and alumni can answer four key questions by completing a short online form by 30 September 2019.

The previous Green Paper consultation received in excess of 17,000 pieces of feedback that helped to shape the document you are now reviewing. I truly appreciate all the contributions that were made during this consultation and I would like to thank everyone who engaged with this process.

As part of our commitment to transparency throughout the development of the new strategy, you can view all the responses received to the Green Paper consultation as follows:

Further information about this stage of the consultation can be viewed in the White Paper consultation document.

Once again, I wish to express my gratitude to you for playing a key role in helping to shape the future of our University.

Regards
Andy
