Looking to gain some work experience? It's a great way to develop your skills, get an insight into what jobs really involve and make contacts for the future. For some jobs and courses, it's imperative that you gain some experience in the workplace.

These events focus on finding out what's on offer, how to apply and make the most of work placements, internships and the optional Placement Year.

Some sessions are targeted at particular courses with other sessions open to all.

  • Engineering Employability Week - Introduction to Placement Hunting

  • Pre-Placement Briefing for Engineering students going out in 23/24 - session 2

    Mandatory. All students intending to do a year in industry as part of their course over 2023/2024 must attend. This will be a talk on how to make the most of your placement, the assessment, and your responsibility for Health and Safety.
