The Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT) in My Life in Data, led by Professor Steve Benford from the School of Computer Science, has been successful in securing funding from the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC).
The Universities and Science Minister, David Willetts, recently announced details of how the UK's largest investment in postgraduate training in engineering and physical sciences, a £350 million fund, will be used to train over 3,500 postgraduate students.
The fund has been allocated and spread across 24 UK universities by the EPSRC, funding over 70 new Centres for Doctoral Training, including the CDT in My life in Data.
