Star Wars mystery solved by University of Nottingham's X-ray scanner

Researchers from the Schools of Computer Science, Maths, Engineering and Biosciences usually use Hounsfield Facility's world leading X-ray imaging technology to explore and quantify the internal architecture of biomaterials and support research into environmental sustainability and global food security.

The facility, however, found an additional, unexpected use when approached by a Star Wars figure collector.
