I'm an associate professor at the School of Computer Science and a member of the Mixed Reality Lab.

My research interests are broadly in the area of Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) and Ubiquitous Computing and currently particularly include

  • Design Ethnography and Participatory Design
  • Collocated interaction (with and around technology), and collaboration (e.g., CSCW)
  • Studies of deployments 'in the wild'
  • Mobile Experience Design

  • Conversational Agents and voice interfaces
  • Internet of Things and everyday life
  • Non-profit workplaces (charities)
