Biography
I am currently undertaking his PhD training with the Horizon Centre for Doctoral Training, funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC). My PhD research theme is data-driven integrated transport, which is explored and developed in partnership with Department for Transport colleagues. The project will use a combination of methods from human factors and computer science, which examine the different ways in which data from different sources, such as payment data, travel data etc. can be used to aid the understanding travel behaviour from different population groups to support decision makers in transport.
Prior to beginning my PhD training, I worked 6 years in the Airline industry as a network and fleet planner, strategy executive. In 2019, I obtained my master's degree in Air Transport Planning and Management from the University of Westminster in London.
My research interest is data-driven transport, Mobility as a Service (MaaS), travelers behaviour, passenger experience, digitalisation in travelling.
Research Summary
PhD research project: Data driven public/private integrated transport solutions - design, integration, ethics, privacy and regulatory issues.
My PhD research is explored and developed in partnership with Department for Transport colleagues, and will include an examination of the different ways in which data from different sources, such as payment data, travel data etc. can be used to aid the understanding of whole trips and trip chains (multiple successive trips) from different population groups to feed into transport planning. The project will use a combination of methods from human factors and computer science to produce new tools that bring together diverse data sets to support decision makers in transport, and to identify methods for fair and responsible sharing of data.
