Centre for Research into Ideas and the Study of Political Ideologies

The Centre for Research into Ideas and the Study of Political Ideologies (CRISPI) is the leading centre for the study of ideas and ideologies worldwide.
CRISPI is building a unique ‘brand’ for political theory at the University of Nottingham: understanding political theory ‘in the vernacular’.
The centre's research activity is organised around three workstreams:
- The Study of Political Ideologies
- The History of Politcal Thought
- Contemporary Political History
The centre collaborates with colleagues working on political ideas in the Departments of History and Philosophy and in the university's research beacons.
