The Centre for Research into Ideas and the Study of Political Ideologies (CRISPI) is the leading centre for the study of ideas and ideologies worldwide. It is the home of the Journal of Political Ideologies and its blog Ideology, Theory, Practice.

CRISPI is building a unique ‘brand’ for political theory at the University of Nottingham: understanding political theory ‘in the vernacular’.

The centre's research activity is organised around three workstreams:
