The deadline for Student Finance England applications relating to the current academic year is Sunday 31 May 2026. You can also now start applying for the next academic year as well.
Funding for 2025-26
You can apply for Student Loans Company (SLC) funding for the current academic year (2025-26) within nine months of the start of the academic year.
For home undergraduate students who started their course in September 2025, the deadline for this year’s funding is Sunday 31 May 2026.
For postgraduate students looking to apply for a master’s or doctoral loan, you must apply within nine months of the first day of the last academic year of the course.
All students should check the table below for your course start date and the relevant application deadline:

Funding for 2026-27
Undergraduate students can start applying to Student Finance England for next year's (2026-27) funding from the Monday 23 March 2026.
