Make sure you choose your optional modules as soon as possible, to ensure your timetable is accurate and up to date. Selecting modules early also means you can access module information and resources on Moodle, and avoid missing out on modules with limited spaces.
Returning students
If your programme of study offers optional modules, you will have selected these for the 2025/26 academic year back in May. If you’ve changed your mind or wish to change your choices, you’ll be able to update your modules in September.
If your programme of study consists of compulsory modules only, no action is needed.
You can change your chosen modules during one of the following periods:
- 12 noon, Monday 15 September - 5pm, Monday 22 September
- 12 noon, Monday 29 September - 5pm, Wednesday 8 October 2025
Changes need to be made in NottinghamHub during this time.
Before changing your module selection, please ensure you have completed your online registration for the 2025/26 academic year. We advise that you do this in advance of the change of mind period opening.
New students
If your programme of study offers optional modules, you will be able to choose your modules during the following periods:
- 12 noon, Wednesday 24 September - 5pm, Friday 26 September 2025
- 12 noon, Monday 29 September - 5pm, Wednesday 8 October 2025
If your programme of study consists of compulsory modules only, no action is needed.
You will need to do this in NottinghamHub during this time. Don’t forget – to access NottinghamHub, you need to have registered.
Some modules have a limited number of places, so we recommend that you submit your choices at the earliest opportunity to avoid missing out. You can view the modules available to you by checking our curriculum catalogue on our module enrolment webpage. You'll also find other useful information including a video demonstration on how to select your modules.
Although choices will remain provisional for now, Student Services will contact you via your university email address if there are any issues with your selection.
If you’re a postgraduate research student, you can also elect to enrol on optional modules that are beneficial to your degree. However, you will need to discuss any modules you wish to take with your supervisor first.
You may also wish to take a language module, if your programme of study allows it. Further information can be found on the Language Centre Information Hub.
