The work will take place Monday 23 June - Monday 8 September. During this time there will be no lift access to Levels 1, 3 and 4, however stair access will still be available.

Once the new lift is installed we will have faster, more reliable facilities that meet current accessibility requirements. 

There may be noise disruption throughout the works, particularly from Monday 23 June to Monday 14 July as the initial removal work is undertaken. We apologise for any disruption caused.

Accessing study spaces

If you are impacted by the lift closure and need to access study spaces there are alternative locations accessible on campus nearby, including Monica Partridge Building and George Green Library.

Accessing resources

Our click and collect service is available for those who are unable to access resources on Levels 3 and 4.

Please place your request before visiting and wait for a notification to say your item is ready to collect. This is to allow library staff time to process requests and will vary depending on demand.

Library staff will be on hand to support during your visit, however they may be unable to respond to an immediate request for book collections.
