Today, Monday 26 October marks the beginning of sexual consent awareness week, a week of information aiming to raise awareness of the importance of consent and challenging myths around rape and sexual violence.

An additional aim of the week this year is to promote the university’s dedicated team of qualified Sexual Violence Liaison Officers (SVLO’s). This team has been expanded to provide a more regular service to students, building on the work they have done in previous years supporting students who have experienced or come in to contact with any form of sexual violence.
