Summer activities for international students

There's plenty to do if you're staying in Nottingham this summer!

Summer Picnic

Join us at Wollaton Park on Saturday 7 September for a bring and share picnic and games!

This is a great chance for those arriving early to have fun and meet new people.

CAMEO

CAMEO is a women's group for partners of international students, and children are welcome too.

Join us at Beeston Free Church, Salthouse Lane, NG9 2FY between 1pm and 2.30pm.

Each meeting will have a theme listed beside the remaining dates below:

  • Thursday 8 August - CAMEO Olympics

Summer Globe Cafe

This event runs on Monday evenings, 7.30-9pm. There will be one cafe each Monday and the location varies:

  • Monday 5 August, Beeston Free Church
  • Monday 12 August, The Arboretum (City Centre)
  • Monday 19 August, Beeston Free Church
  • Monday 26 August, Cornerstone Church

Chat With Friends

Join this Zoom session on Monday lunchtimes for a great chance for pre-arrivals to be welcomed by our team of volunteers. Students who have recently finished will also join to help answer any questions you may have.

These sessions run from Monday 12 August to Monday 16 September.

Globe Café will continue through the summer, join us on Monday evenings from Monday 22 July until Monday 26 August for refreshments and fun activities with volunteers and other international students!

Autumn Welcome

We are once again providing a range of welcome activities for International Students in partnership with the university and SU. 

  • Saturday 21 September, 10.30am-12noon: City Tour meeting at St Nic's
  • Monday 23 September: Globe Cafés start  
  • Wednesday 25 September, all day: Welcome Café, The Studio, Portland Building
  • Thursday 26 September, 1-2.30pm: CAMEO women’s group, Beeston
  • Saturday 28 September, 10.30am-12noon: City Tour meeting at St Nic's
