Let us know how you would like to graduate and opt in to alumni communications.
Whether or not you're planning to join us in person to celebrate your achievements, please ensure that you register to graduate and let us know your intentions by selecting one of the following options:
- Attend your ceremony this summer
- Defer and attend a graduation event at a later date
- Graduate in absentia and receive your certificate and transcripts through the post.
You can find out which date you’ll be graduating on our ceremony dates and times webpage.
There are also smaller ceremonies available for those who prefer quieter events.
You have until 12 noon on Friday 13 June to tell us your decision. Please note, you must clear any outstanding debt owed to the university before you can register to graduate. You can review this using the 'finance' tab on the NottinghamHub. For any queries, please contact the Student Accounts team.
Graduation gowning event
Unsure of your gown or cap size? Want to try them on before committing to ordering your garments? Join our graduation pop-up event to get measured.
Join a session to get an idea of what size gown and cap you’ll need for your ceremony.
Come along to the Malone Atrium, Portland building between 10am and 4pm on Thursday 1 May.
Guest tickets
You are guaranteed two free guest tickets as long as you register by 12 noon on Friday 13 June. You will be prompted to order these via our ticket partner, Ede and Ravenscroft, when you complete registration.
We will let you know if there are any additional tickets available to purchase via email after registration has closed. We won’t be able to answer any questions about additional tickets before then.
In the meantime, our graduation webpages have everything you need to get prepared, from gown hire to photography and how to pay for car parking.
Alumni communications
As well as providing your registration choice, you will be asked whether you want to opt in to hear from the university’s alumni team by email once you graduate.
Opting in is the only way you will fully benefit from your alumni programme 'Connected we thrive':
- Connect at invite-only online and in-person events across the globe, build your professional networks and keep your connections from campus alive
- Thrive with a unique collection of webinars and seminars in our Learn library - carefully curated with a range of academic experts and leading alumni speakers, we tackle a range of practical topics.
There is also a huge amount of support available from our Careers and Employability Service, signposted to those who opt in.
As you plan for your future as a Nottingham graduate, your alumni team will be there to help you take your next steps, personally and professionally.
