Support for students still in Nottingham

Thursday, 14 May 2020
If you’re remaining in the Nottingham area during the coronavirus pandemic and are experiencing hardship or just need a little extra support, there’s lots available to you.

Below you can find out more about some of the support on offer to you – from wellbeing support to financial support.

Food and supplies

Local charity Hope is offering food bank packages for students who are currently in Nottingham and experiencing hardship. To receive a food package, please email your request for a parcel to eleanor.turner@nottingham.ac.uk. Once your request has been processed and approved, Hope will telephone you directly to arrange a time to drop the package at your door.

The Hindu Temple Nottingham, along with Sewa Day charity is currently supporting Nottingham students on a weekly basis with hot food and food parcels, and are reaching out to any international students who are struggling. If you require this service, please email offcampus@nottingham.ac.uk.

Funding and finance

We appreciate that staying Nottingham and not being able to return home may be putting an increased financial pressure on you. The University may be able to support you via the COVID-19 Crisis Fund or one of the other available support funds.
