The autumn term finishes on Friday 12 December and the university will enter winter break opening hours. Services on campus may operate on reduced hours, or close completely.

Normal service will resume with the start of the spring term on Monday 12 January.

Hopper buses

Services may vary between Saturday 13 December and Monday 12 January.

There will be no hopper bus services between 22 December 2025 and 1 January 2026.

Libraries

During the winter vacation period there will be changes to our normal library opening hours.

Selected libraries will be open over the break. All libraries will be closed from Wednesday 24 December - Sunday 28 December and Wednesday 31 December - Friday 2 January.

On Monday 5 January, all libraries will reopen, operating vacation opening hours. 24/7 opening hours restart at George Green, Djanogly LRC and James Cameron-Gifford on Monday 12 January.

Student service centres

Student Service Centres will operate their usual opening times on all campuses until 5pm on Friday 19 December, when they will close until 9am on Monday 5 January 2026.

The team will be operating an online only service on Monday 22 and Tuesday 23 December to provided assistance by telephone or live chat.
