The Student Recruitment Events and Widening Participation & Outreach teams are offering a Student Ambassador role. Recruitment for this usually takes place once per year during the autumn term (please see ‘How to Apply’ for further information).

How to apply

Student ambassador recruitment is held once per year in the Autumn term. 

Student ambassador applications are now open for the 2024 academic year. 

Applications close Sunday 6th October at 12.00am (midnight). Please note that applications may be closed prior to the deadline if we receive a high volume of submissions.

Student Ambassador role

  • Support the Student Recruitment Outreach and Widening Participation team with campus visits & interactive activities
  • Support the Student Recruitment Events team with open days, offer-holder days, clearing and adjustment events and postgraduate events
  • Gain experience working with young people
  • Raise aspirations and awareness
  • Lead campus tours of the University
  • Facilitate activities and share your experiences with prospective students parents and visitors to the University
  • Promote higher education and the University
  • Provide support with pre-event set up, on the day support and post-event pack down
  • Handle enquiries on the day for visitors to campus
