Description

History Education Subject Interest Group (SIG)

As part of our commitment to our partnership schools, we are inviting secondary mentors and other history colleagues to attend our Subject Interest Group (SIG) seminar. The idea behind the SIG is to provide opportunities for professional dialogue and development.

About this event

Dr Sarah Holland will guide us through her Country Lives exhibition in the Weston Gallery at Lakeside Arts (University Park) exploring how the countryside has been used and depicted over the last 200 years, through photographs, sketches, books, letters, maps and board games. The exhibition explores varied themes including work, leisure, health and access to the countryside. Sarah will then lead us on a walking tour of University Park, considering how understanding the changing landscape can be used as a way into exploring the history of the countryside and local environment with our students.
