As part of our commitment to our partnership schools, we are inviting secondary mentors and other history colleagues to attend the next Subject Interest Group (SIG) seminar. The idea behind the SIG is to provide opportunities for professional dialogue and development.
History teachers and history academics are united in their desire to see students inspired by the discipline.
Following our recent Curriculum and Assessment Sandpit events, this SIG will provide a space for history teachers and academics to engage in a reflective conversation about the challenges and opportunities faced by history students. We hope to be joined by some undergraduate history students who will share their experience of making the transition from school to university level history.
We aim to explore:
Registration is from 4.30pm, at which point light refreshments will be available. The seminar will start at 5pm and finish by 7pm.
