THE Sub-Saharan Africa Universities Forum

The inaugural THE Sub-Saharan Africa Universities Forum was hosted at Ashesi University in Accra, Ghana on 26 June 2023.

The agenda focussed on:

• improving employability rates across Sub-Saharan Africa
• access and equity within higher education
• continental collectivism as a shared higher education objective
• improving citizenship through the public missions of African universities

Professor Juliet Thondhlana, who holds the UNESCO Chair in International Education and Development, was amongst a large group of speakers from universities and organisations across the globe.
