Teaching Associate Lip Vi Teoh was invited to deliver the opening speech at the 2025 Global Chinese Language Competition for university students earlier this month. Organised by the International Transnational Education Association (ITEA) and hosted online in in Malaysia, the event brought together over 300 participants. This competition provides a stage for international students to demonstrate their Chinese language proficiency through performance-based categories, such as poetry recitation, song performance, and public speaking in Chinese.
Lip’s involvement at this event not only highlights our ongoing and meaningful contribution to the wider subject community of teaching and learning Chinese as a second/foreign language but also supports the promotion and visibility of our MA Teaching Chinese to Speakers of Other Languages course on the international stage.
