A new whitepaper was published yesterday at the Education World Forum in London by Times Higher Education (THE) Consultancy, in collaboration with KPMG. It focusses on universities in the Global South, presenting instances of exemplary best practice and opportunities for collaborative partnership development. It includes case studies on effective collaboration with the Global South from the University of Nottingham and University of Reading.
Professor Juliet Thondhlana and Dr Alicia Bowman, with Professor Evelyn Garwe from the University of Morocco, contributed a case study based on the partnership between the University of Nottingham and Association of African Universities and their writing workshop and mentorship programme which is funded by British Academy. They will also be part of a webinar held by THE Consultancy discussing opportunities for data-led action and partnership in achieving SDG 5: Gender equality.
Visit the THE website to download the report.
Register for webinar: 28 May and 29 May 2025.
Professor Thondhlana holds the UNESCO Chair in International Education and Development. Both she and Dr Bowman are active researchers in the Centre for International Education Research.
