New home for the Primary Education Network blog

The University of Nottingham’s Primary Education Network blog has a new home! 

You can now find the blog, a treasure trove of over 90 posts on curriculum, pedagogy, educational issues and more, on a new site at: teachereducationnetwork.org.uk 

Our latest post for December takes a look at creating motivated and engaged writers in primary schools. Looking back through the archive, you’ll find posts on all kinds of topics -  from homework to history, from PE to podcasting - written by the University of Nottingham teacher education team and a growing list of classroom teachers. Here’s just a flavour from the last year or so: 

• What happens when children in your classroom do not see themselves represented in the curriculum? 

• Crafting mathematical learning journeys for children: the power of board work 

• Map-making, path-finding and bridge-building: closing the gap between working-class pupils and their peers 

• Higher-order questions or questioning for higher-order thinking?
