Biography
Mark is a tutor in Mathematics Education. Prior to working for UoN he had a twenty year career in schools which included secondary subject and pastoral responsibilities as well as some primary teaching.
He is proud of the many teachers in the Nottingham area whose education he has contributed towards over his years at the School of Education.
Ongoing areas of interest include social justice and teaching mathematics to mixed-attainment groups (TMMAG).

I am interested in helping beginning teachers to become reflective practitioners who enjoy their work and learn ongoingly. I would hope that their pupils would enjoy being taught by them and gain valuable understandings and skills as a result.
I am also interested in societal inequality, the degree to which it is necessary, systems which promote and maintain it and those which reduce it.
