The School of English is looking forward to another day of activities and meeting the local community at Mayfest.
We’ll have workshops in Viking culture, runes on sticks, quizzes on your knowledge of language trivia (guaranteed to please your inner pedant), and the opportunity to win sweets by detecting famous poems translated into textspeak.
Staff and students will be on hand to discuss the way in which English language and literature is part of our daily life, the cutting-edge research we carry out, and the projects which the university undertakes in the Nottingham community. Literary fun for all. And sweets.
Our stall will be in C corridor in Portland, and the workshops taking place in C27.
