Our ranking of 9th by 'research power' (REF 2014) reflects our research excellence. We work collaboratively through our four interdisciplinary research centres, delivering results at regional, national and international level.
Our staff and students work on cross-disciplinary projects that address modern challenges; from exploring the history of slavery through drama and performance to undertaking research into Covid-related public health discourses and how to safeguard young people and regional museums during the pandemic.
