Description: Dr Lucy Jones, Associate Professor in Sociolinguistics and Director of Equality, Diversity and Inclusion for the Faculty of Arts, has been awarded a British Academy Mid-Career Fellowship. The Fellowships support outstanding individual researchers with excellent research proposals. They also aim to promote public understanding and engagement with humanities and social sciences. Dr Jones' work will explore how LGBTQ+ youth use language to position themselves in relation to one another and the wider world.
