A gathering in memory of Professor Ronald Carter in Kyoto

A small informal gathering took place in memory of Professor Ronald Carter in Kyoto, Japan on 28 April 2019.

Sixteen people, including his former students at Nottingham, got together from various placed in Japan, Tokyo, Osaka, Hiroshima and so on. They read a short paper each to appreciate his brilliant achievements on English language and literature as well as his invaluable contribution to the studies of English language and literature in Japan. The gathering took place in a seminar room at Kyoto University where he once stayed as a British Council Distinguished Visiting Professor.
