Applications are invited for a Lectureship in Global Language Acquisition and Bilingualism

The School of English is seeking to appoint a lecturer in teaching and learning English as a second/foreign language. The successful candidate will supervise, teach, and mark across a range of English Language teaching/second language acquisition topics.

Candidates should have a PhD (or equivalent) in a relevant area of English Language and Applied Linguistics. They should also have English language teaching experience. A proven track record in publishing in one or more of the following areas: second language acquisition, bilingualism, English language teaching methodology, or second language assessment is essential as is the ability to teach at undergraduate and postgraduate levels on our live and distance programmes.

This is full-time, permanent post is available from 1 September 2013 and is open to job share.

Selection Process
Long-listed candidates will be asked to provide items of research for consideration by the School.  The interview process will include a presentation and a formal interview.
