The Estates Helpdesk allocates jobs relating to the maintenance of the University's UK estate. The problems that we deal with are varied and include, for example: joinery, cleaning, electrics, heating, glazing, grounds, lifts, painting, plumbing, portering, signs, surveying, engineering and waste removal, to name but a few.
This page and its contents are designed for the Estates Helpdesk and is for building maintenance (joinery, plumbing, electrical), grounds work, pest control, transportation of items and confidential waste, and Domestic Services (building attendants and cleaning), etc.

If your request is urgent contact the Helpdesk on 0115 951 6666 for advice on what to do next (you may be required to check in advance that your request can be done at short notice).
Please note that we require a minimum of one week's notice for non-urgent requests.

Information on room bookings
Once you have confirmed your room booking please check that the room is set up in the style you require for your event. If not, you will need to complete an online Works Request to have it altered to the style set up you require.
