University Houses
Families and couples
The University Houses section will give you every possible assistance to find suitable accommodation, but as demand for this type of accommodation is sometimes greater than the number of properties available, the University cannot guarantee that suitable housing will always be found.
University Houses offer furnished properties for families and couples who are students, staff and official visitors to the University of Nottingham, for a minimum of three months.
University Houses are subject to availability and there are a range of properties, varying in size and rents. Please contact University Houses for the current rental charges.
Shared student houses
If you are a returning student and have a group of student friends and would like to rent a shared house that is owned and managed by the University, we have several houses in Dunkirk and on Sutton Bonington Campus you can apply for. Please contact University Houses for the current rental charges.
Dunkirk
- Size: 3, 4 and 5 bedroom furnished shared student houses
- Bills: included in the rent – heating, lighting, water rates
- Contract length: 11 months
Sutton Bonington Campus
- Size: 3 and 4 bedroom furnished shared student houses
- Bills: included in rent – heating, lighting, water rates and wireless UoN Network Service
- Contract length: 10 months

- Size: 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 bedroom furnished houses/flats
- Bills: additional to rent
Abbey House
- Size: 1 and 2 bedroom furnished flats
- Bills: inclusive of heating, lighting, water rates, and UoN wireless network services
Dunkirk
- Size: 1, 2, 3 and 4 bedroom furnished houses
- Bills: additional to rent (shared student houses inclusive of water, heating and lighting)
Sutton Bonington Campus
- Size: 3 bedroom furnished houses
- Bills: additional to rent (shared student houses inclusive of water, heating and lighting)
Short stay (between 1 and 3 months stay)
- Jubilee Campus offers single, double and three bedroom studio flats. These are located in the Xu Yafen Building on Triumph Road.
- Sutton Bonington offers single and double flats in Eviton House located on College Road.
Long stay (greater than three months)
The university owns and manages a portfolio of properties that are available for rental to staff, students and visitors. They are located on University Park, Jubilee and Sutton Bonington Campuses and Dunkirk.

When submitting your request for accommodation, please note that available hours for moving in are Monday to Friday 8.30am-5.30pm. We will not be able to accommodate moving in outside of these hours.
