Borja Toranzo de Zavalla

Biographical details

From San Juan, Argentina, she was one of the first to donate to the Ejército del Norte in 1812, she also gave to the Ejército de los Andes in 1815 when San Martín asked for donations. In 1835 she gave land for a public cemetery. She married Estanislao de Zavalla and they used their fortune for many public works. She is believed to have died after 1860, in her old age.
