One of two sisters of President Guadalupe Victoria José Miguel Ramón Adaucto Fernández y Félix. H. G. Ward met them in Durango in 1826 and described them as "very lively and most enthusiastic politicians, a talent for which in Durango there was unfortunately much scope". (Ward, 612)
