Research Themes
Our research community is organised into research themes that reflect and shape research strategy across the university's campuses in Nottingham, China and Malaysia.
These themes focus and co-ordinate innovative research activity, encourage collaboration within and beyond the school, foster and incorporate new and younger members of staff, and generate a critical mass of researchers in key areas of research, and provide research leadership.
A number of staff and students have interests in more than one theme; a reflection of the school's commitment to collaborative, interdisciplinary research. A significant amount of innovative work has emerged across the boundaries of research themes, such as work on environmental history and climate change, geographies of music, and decision-support systems in farming.
