Student Placements
The Human Rights Law Centre (HRLC) offers students from law, social sciences and the humanities various opportunities to get involved in projects and events of the centre throughout the year.
These positions provide students with an opportunity to work, on a voluntary basis, in a world renowned academic human rights centre, gaining valuable experience to complement their studies.
2022/23 Placements
This year, the HRLC is offering the following placements:
- Refugee Clinic (LLM and final year UG students - law course)
- International Human Rights Reports (LLM and final year UG students - law course)
- Scholars at Risk – Student Advocacy Seminar (LLM and final year UG students - any course)
- National Implementing Legislation Database (NILD) and Cooperation and Judicial Assistance Database (CJAD) (LLM and final year UG students - law course)

Application procedure
If you are interested in applying for an HRLC placement, please complete the application form that is linked in the role description document. Each application requires a 750-word statement of interest, outlining why you are interested and why you would be suitable for the role.
Please note: It is possible to apply for up to three assistant positions.
The application deadline is 28 October 2022, midday (GMT) and interviews will take place shortly after.
