From 19-21 July Professors Peter Cartwright and Richard Hyde spoke at the 18th International Association of Consumer Law (IACL) Conference in Hamburg, Germany. As part of their ongoing work on Exploitative Technology and Consumer Protection, Peter and Richard delivered a paper entitled ‘Targeting on the Basis of Emotions as an Unfair Commercial Practice.’ The paper is being developed into an article which will be co-authored with Natalie Leesakul, who has recently joined the School of Law as Assistant Professor in Law and Autonomous Systems.
