Jia Wang passes her PhD viva voce examination

Jia Wang, PhD Candidate in the School of Law and a member of the University of Nottingham Commercial Law Centre (UNCLC) has passed her PhD viva voce examination on 22 May 2023. 

Jia’s thesis ‘Legal Transplantation: The Making of Chinese Marine Insurance Law’ was supervised by Howard Bennett (Hind Professor of Commercial Law, University of Nottingham) and David Fraser (Professor Emeritus of Law and Social Theory, University of Nottingham). 

The examiners were Dr Cosmin Cercel (Assistant Professor, Jagiellonian University, Poland) and Beiping Chu (Professor of Maritime Law, Dalian Maritime University, China).  Dr Nell Munro (Assistant Professor, University of Nottingham) served as the chair of the examination.
